A note of explanation from
Elder Jesse Millar:
On June 22, 2011, I began a full-time, un-paid, two-year mission for
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My title of “Elder” designates me as an ordained representative of Jesus Christ. I deferred my college studies and left my home and family to serve in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission which encompasses all of eastern Nevada, and small parts of southeastern California and northwestern Arizona. During these two years, I won’t have access to my cell phone, computers, TV, or movies; and I am only allowed to phone home on Mother’s Day and Christmas. I am focusing all my energy on missionary work with no other distractions as I spend fifteen hours a day studying, preaching, and living the gospel of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While I am gone, I will send weekly letters to my family with occasional photos so my dad can keep this blog updated with the adventures and spiritual experiences of Elder Millar.
